CSU Editor, Sarah-Jane Prew, sits on the UK’s Prime Minister’s Dementia Challenge Group as aviation safety and security advisor. The group has been set up to look at the issues facing people with dementia when flying and to carry out research towards finding an industry solution. With dementia becoming an increasingly prevalent global challenge it is important that airports and airlines work to develop a better understanding of how travelling by air can effect people with the condition, and what the industry can do to make the experience less challenging, while also ensuring that safety is not compromised.
Cabin Safety Update Editor, Sarah-Jane Prew will be presenting at the IATA Cabin Operations Safety Conference 2017 in Doha, Qatar in May. The presentation will outline the current position regarding Human Trafficking internationally and will outline the necessity of developing Human Trafficking Behavioural Indicator Awareness Training for airline crew.
